Cougars extend their loss to four games straight following the defeat to the Skyhawks, who on the otherhand extend their win to four in a row. In front of over 1,000 fans, the Skyhawks had a 78-69 victory, showcasing two college basketball teams that are moving in very different directions.
Cougars coach Lennox Forrester has attributed much of the loss to poor defence of the team, not guarding the ball in one and one situations letting the Skyhawks push through the defence line. Having gained a 36-32 lead at the halftime break, it was this lapse in their defence that led to them losing their half time lead and eventually losing by 9 points. The cougars, burdened with 32 fouls, lost their manpower in the final minutes.
