The University of Connecticut women's college basketball team (the Huskies) beat the Villanova team 81-35 in a Big East match for women's college basketball on Wednesday. The Huskies, who dropped to Number 2 in the Associated Press women's Top 25 listings for college basketball¬, were determined to win. The team, Number 1 in the listings since early 2008, lost its position to Baylor.
Among men's college basketball, the team of the Tompkins Cortland Community College – the Panthers – notched a 113-81 win over the Corning CC team in the Mid-State Athletic Conference (MSAC) match on Tuesday. The winning college basketball team which is also the MSAC defender is all set now to engage in a match with the Cayuga Community College team.
