Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame

Women's Basketball Hall of Fame

In 1999, The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame opened its doors in Knoxville, Tennessee. This site is home to the world's largest basketball. There is lots to see and do at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and it's great fun for visitors of all ages.

There are three basketball courts that visitors can try out their hand so do not forget your court shoes. There are historical displays and artifacts that date back to the turn of the century. You can even see the shirt that was worn by Georgeann wells from West Virginia University when she dunked the first ball by a woman.

If you want to know what it is like to be in a locker room you can listen to some of basketball's great talk to their teams. If that does not suit you, go to the viewing room and watch some of the great old movie clips.
It is a great day out for women's basketball fans.
