Anyone who doubted the recruiting abilities of two new hires in the ACC in college basketball was served a reality check this week, as Maryland's Mark Turgeon and North Carolina State's Mark Gottfried both received commitments from big-time college basketball recruits in the last couple days.

On Monday in the college basketball roster, 4-star shooting guard Torian Graham of Durham, North Carolina committed to the Wolfpack. Graham was being recruited by schools such as Duke, UNC and even Kentucky but chose to play for Gottfried. This was the coach's first college basketball commitment since becoming the head coach at NC State.

It won't take Blue Devils fans long to shake off this college basketball recruiting defeat, as Coach K has a loaded class coming in this year and already has received a verbal from Rasheed Sulaimon, another shooting guard in the 2012 class who is ranked even higher than Graham, according to ESPN.com.
